KARACHI, Nov 26: Former deputy speaker of the Sindh Assembly and nationalist leader Jalal Mahmood Shah on Sunday said he along with his fellow nationalist leaders would soon form a new nationalist party with the objective to struggle for the rights of Sindh.
Talking to delegations hailing from different parts of the province at his residence, he said the new party would struggle for the rights of Sindh and safeguard its ownership rights on its natural resources and strive for greater provincial autonomy.
Mr Shah said the concept of democracy in Pakistan was vague, resulting in denial of constitutional rights to different “nations” (communities) of Pakistan. Jalal Shah said contracting out the ancient islands and plans for settlement of ‘outsiders’ there was a part of the “conspiracy to convert native Sindhis into minority and dismember the province in future.”
