KARACHI, Nov 25: Sixty-eight people were deprived of their cars, motorcycles or cellular phones in various localities here on Saturday.

Police sources said that 16 vehicles – 10 cars and six motorbikes – were either snatched at gunpoint or stolen in different parts. Two cars were hijacked and eight others stolen while one motorbike was hijacked and five others stolen.

Fifty-two people complained that their mobile phones were taken away by bandits. Sixteen of them reported that bandits intercepted them at gunpoint and deprived them of their cellphones, cash and belongings. Thirty-six other people complained that their mobile phones were stolen.
