By A Reporter

KARACHI, Nov 25: Electric poles in the middle of main Orangi Road can cause fatal accidents. There are 45 electric and telephone poles from Islam Chowk to Raees Amrohvi Colony with transformers installed at three spots.

One track of the road is totally closed for traffic due to construction work and the other with poles in the middle posed threat to the lives of commuters.

When the contractor’s men were approached they told this scribe that the officials of Karachi Electric Supply Corporation had been asked time and again to shift the poles from the road but the work was still pending.
