KARACHI, Nov 24: Three ships carrying containers and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, Shalamar, to offload crude oil, Shakhtar to load rice and Oel Aishwarya, to unload and load containers were berthed.

Three ships, Y.M. Sun, Stolt Avenir and Atlantic Diamond departed on Friday, while Lion Princess, Shalamar and Corin Thaikos are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest where a total tonnage of 70,242 tons comprising 13,556 tons of export including 2,578 tons of rice and 56,686 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Marcalabria and Calvin P. Titus, with containers and Guan He Kou, with general cargo.
