KARACHI, Nov 23: Three ships carrying containers and crude oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Corin Thaikos, Y.M. Sun, Hyundai Advance to unload and load containers Atlantic Steel, to offload steel and Sky Star to load lube oil were berthed after the departure of as many.

The ships, which departed were led by Iran Hesabi, APL Jeddah, Hyundai Advance, Sotiria and Rising OM, while Atlantic Diamond and Y.M. Sun are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity on the wharves was modest as the total tonnage amounted to only 44,489 tons comprising 8,704 tons of export cargo and 35,785 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Friday: Swat, with 65,000 tons of crude oil, Iran Tabatabaei and Mega-2, with containers.
