KARACHI, Nov 22: The State Bank on Wednesday suspended an earlier circular which barred banks from procurement of software and IT solutions.

The State Bank has received a number of queries from the concerned quarters with regard to implementation of the decision taken on the procurement of IT solution and software.

“In light of the queries and clarifications being sought, the matter is under review. Till the issuance of revised instructions or guidelines, the action on instructions issued in the earlier circular may be kept in abeyance,” said a SBP circular.
