GUJRANWALA, Nov 21: Six students died and nearly two dozen sustained injuries when a speeding tractor-trolley rammed into the wall of a school and caused the collapse of a classroom near Sheikhupura Road on Tuesday.

There were more than 50 students in the Abu Huraira School classroom when the accident took place.

School staff and those in the neighbourhood pulled the children out of the debris and took them to nearby hospitals.

Six of the injured –- Sheroz, Kinza Bibi, Allah Muafi, Husnain, Mohammad Amin and Ashraf -- expired before getting any assistance. Their ages were between seven and nine years. The condition of three students was critical. The tractor driver escaped.
