Yasir, Fawad blast KPT bowlers


KARACHI, Nov 21: Yasir Shah and Syed Fawad hit half-centuries for Dewan Farooq Motors Ltd (DFML) on the second day of their three-day match against Karachi Port Trust (KPT) at the PCB Academy ground on Monday.

Dewan Motors, replying to KPT’s first innings score of 297, bowled out for 256 runs. Yasir scored 56 off 76 deliveries with the help of four boundaries and two sixes while Fawad struck five boundaries in his 52.

Off-break bowler Imranullah took three wickets for 66 runs in 15 overs.

At close of day’s play, KPT scored 109 for loss of two wickets in their second innings.

Nadeem Javed hit an attacking unbeaten 62 off 46 balls with eight boundaries and a six.

He added 85 runs for third-wicket partnership with Shahid Siddiq, who scored 23.

Summarised scores:

KPT (1st innings) 297 all out in 82.4 overs.

DFML (1st innings) 256 all out in 59.3 overs (Yasir Shah 56, Syed Fawad 52; Imranullah 3-66, Ahmer Saeed 2-9, M. Hasnain 2-50, Fahad Khan 2-59).

KPT (2nd innings) 109-2 in 21 overs (Nadeem Javed not out 62, Shahid Siddiq not out 23).—APP
