Man shot dead, 5 vehicles stolen

RAWALPINDI, Nov 21: A young man was shot dead in Kahuta, while six persons were deprived of their vehicles in different parts of the city on Monday, police said.

Muhammad Azeem, the father of 22-year-old Muhammad Idrees, complained to Kahuta police that his son was sitting with him when his cousin, Shahzad Ahmed, came there and started chatting with them.

While leaving, Shahzad asked Azeem to walk with him up to some distance. However, he did not return provoking fears about the safety of his son.

On Tuesday, when Azeem went to Shahzad’s house to take his son back home, he was told that Shahzad had killed Muhammad Idrees and his body was lying near Pir Kot.

On his complaint, police seized the body and shifted it to the hospital for autopsy. Police said the motive for murder was some marital dispute. A case has been registered and investigation started.

Meanwhile, Khurram Jahangir’s car (IDN-961) was stolen from Civil Lines area, Azhar Mehmood’s car (RLE-2141) was lifted from Westridge, Muhammad Zameer’s car (RLE-2810) was stolen from Waris Khan, Khalid Mehmood’s car was stolen from the jurisdiction of City police, Muhammad Kabir’s car was stolen from Sadiqabad and Asif Mehmood’s motorbike was lifted from Banni.
