KARACHI: 750 phone lines damaged by fire restored

KARACHI, Nov 21: The Pakistan Telecommunication Company on Tuesday claimed it had rectified 750 fixed telephone lines, which had gone out of order due to a fire. In a press release issued here, the PTCL spokesman said that a fire broke out in the Business Avenue Building on Sharea Faisal a couple of days back dueto which 750 phone lines went out of order. He maintained that the phone company worked on it and restored all the affected phone lines.

However, people from various localities including Federal B Area, North Nazimabad, Saddar and Soldier Bazaar complained that their phones were out of order and despite complaints had been lodged, their phone were not restored.
