HYDERABAD, Nov 21: The Pakistan chapter of the South Asia Lawyers’ Forum has criticised the railways ministries of India and Pakistan for an inordinate delay in repairing the Khokhropar-Munabao railway track.

It said that the people intending to visit India and Pakistan were being subjected to a lot of inconvenience and tension due to indifferent attitude of the railway ministries of the two countries.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, SALF leaders Riazuddin Qureshi, vice-chairman Abbas Ali Jafri and information secretary Aijaz Bawani said that both the counties had ample resources to repair damaged railway track, but they were not working sincerely to repair the track.

They appealed to the prime ministers of the two countries to take notice of slow pace of work and direct their railway ministries to repair the tracks on a war footing to restore the Thar Express service.

They said that the matter was not even discussed in the meeting of the foreign secretaries of the two countries held in Delhi.
