KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 21: Malaysian police on Tuesday said they had arrested a woman who had allegedly used mobile phone text messages to spread false information that Muslims Malays will be baptised as Christians.
An official said the two were being held to assist in the investigation. The arrest comes after police launched a hunt for the woman a week ago.
The government had condemned the messages and warned that it may use the draconian security law that allows detention without trial.—AFP
