KARACHI: ‘Autonomy a popular demand’

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Nov 20: Sindh National Front chief Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto has observed that provincial autonomy has become a popular demand across the country, and said: “This is a victory of the SNF”.

His observation came at a meeting of the party’s Karachi chapter here on Monday. Presiding over the meeting, Sardar Bhutto said the SNF was a principled and ideologically committed party that had been struggling for provincial autonomy for two decades. As a result of this struggle, he claimed, every party in the country was now talking about provincial autonomy.

He also observed that Sindh was passing through the most crucial phase in its history, and described the situation prevailing in the province as ‘grim’.

In this context, Sardar Bhutto said he would launch a mass mobilisation programme in Sindh, including Karachi, next month.
