By Our Staff Reporter

LAHORE, Nov 18: Participants of a function held at the YMCA to mark the international peace day on Saturday urged the need for promoting inter-faith dialogue and as a result harmony.

They belonged to different walks of life and religions. Prominent among them were Lahore British Council Director Dr Iftikhar Elahi, Pakistan Calligraphy Guild Patron-in-Chief Athar Tahir, Italian calligraphers Massimo Polello and Prof Anna Ostanello, British educationist Ms Rachel, YMCA president Andrew Macmillan and secretary-general John Shaffak and Mohanjeet Singh.

They released pigeons and lit candles. Two leading singers also sang peace songs.
