KOHAT, Nov 17: The Kohat district development committee has approved 29 development schemes worth Rs10.787 million under community council boards. The projects, including installation of hand pumps, electrification and repair of roads, will be executed in the provincial assembly constituencies PF-37 and PF-38.

District Planning Officer Jaffar Khan told a meeting of the committee presided over by Executive District Officer, Finance, Waheedur Rehman Khattak, that Rs5 million had been set aside for development projects in the constituency of MPA Syed Qalb-i-Hassan. Schemes worth Rs1.635 million had been approved from the special fund of MPA Shagufta Naz, he said.

The committee gave approval of installation of 30 hand pumps in Bilitang union council on the Rawalpindi Road in addition to Rs1 million for other development schemes.The meeting stressed that the funds should be utilised in a transparent way.
