KARACHI, Nov 17: Four ships carrying containers, chemicals and furnace oil were berthed at QICT, EVT and Fotco Terminal during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, three more container ships also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy stood at 70pc as seven ships, Dubai, ACX Jasmine, Manyas-1, Genco Knight, Pacific Jade, Anette Kosan and Milky Way, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, seeds, edible oil, chemicals and furnace oil.

Brisk cargo handling activity was observed at the wharves totalling 94,802 tons comprising 72,359 tons of import and 22,443 tons of export.

Sailing was also active as Dubai, ACX Jasmine, Anette Kosan and Pacific Jade left the port.
