KARACHI: Probe ordered

KARACHI, Nov 16: Sindh Adviser Waseem Akhtar has ordered a judicial inquiry into the death of an under-trial prisoner, Shakeel Ahmed, who died in central prison on November 11, 2006. The terms of reference of inquiry are to probe and ascertain circumstances and causes leading to the death of the UTP in the central prison and to fix the responsibility against the prison officials either directly or indirectly involved in the incident and to recommend the action to be taken against the officials at fault.—PPI
