KARACHI, Nov 16: Seven ships carrying palm oil, DAP fertiliser and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where seven ships were berthed to unload and load general cargo. They are: Thor Champion, Hyundai Highway, Y.M. Fortune, CMA CGM Simba and Tower Bridge to unload and load containers, Guido, RoRo and African Shark, to unload and load general cargo.

Two vessels, APL Dalian, Hyundai Highway and Roseanne departed on Thursday, while Intrepid, CMA CGM Simba, Thor Cha, Swat, Liberty Eagle, Tower Bridge, African Shark and Guido are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves active where a total tonnage of 85,783 tons comprising 19,890 tons of export cargo and 65,893 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Lalazar, with crude oil, Rising Sun, with lube oil, Stolt Aventis, with palm oil, Soon Fu, Mega-2, with containers and Zheng Xing, to offload 30,400 tons of imported cement.
