Sarai Naurang grid station switched on


PESHAWAR, Nov 15: Federal Water and Power Minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi on Wednesday inaugurated the newly constructed 132kv grid station at Sarai Naurang and performed the stone-laying ceremonies of upgradation of the Taja Zai and Pezu grid stations from 66kv to 132kv each.

Peshawar Electricity Supply Company chief executive Brig Sakhi Marjan informed the minister that the Sarai Naurang grid station had been completed at a cost of Rs100.8 million and it had already started functioning in a `dependable’ manner. With the upgradation of the two grid stations, he said, the problems of low voltage, interruption, and frequent shutdowns had been resolved.

Mr Jatoi announced providing electricity to20 villages in the Lakki Marwat district.—APP
