THATTA, Nov 15: The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) was considering to set up its stores in 13 big and small towns of the district with a Super Utility Store in Thatta soon, said Pakistan Muslim League MNA Syed Ayaz Ali Shah Shirazi on Wednesday.

Mr Shirazi told reporters after a meeting with USC General Manager Masood Alam at Muslim League House that the corporation was carrying out a survey of the district for the purpose.

Mr Shirazi said that utility stores were proposed to be established in Chuhar Jamali, Mirpur Bathoro, Jati, Gharo, Mirpur Sakro, Gujjo, Belo, Daro, Bannu, Saeedpur, Ghorabari, Jangshahi and Jhoke Sharif.

POLICE RAID: Thatta police conducted a raid on a house in Gandhra village, seized two bootlegged wine factories with ample stock of under preparation wine and arrested Usman Gandhro, Haroon Jakhro and Rab Dino Ghirano on Wednesday.

BLOCKED: Enraged taxi drivers blocked National Highway late on Tuesday night to protest against firing on a taxi driver Akbar Lasi by Yamin Shah, a computer operator at DPO office. The drivers ended the blockade after the police arrested Mr Shah.
