President, PM to meet coalition leaders

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Nov 13: President General Pervez Musharraf is likely to chair a high-level meeting of some top leaders of his government at the prime minister’s house today (Tuesday), well-informed sources told Dawn on Monday.

According to sources, who requested anonymity, the meeting will be held at a dinner hosted by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz at the Prime Minister’s House.

The ruling PML president, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, and the speaker, National Assembly, Chaudhry Amir Hussain, were among the invitees, sources asserted.

The speaker is under tremendous pressure from the opposition as he adjourned both the sittings of the lower house held so far to foil opposition lawmakers attempt to speak on the Bajaur and Dargai incidents.
