PESHAWAR, Nov 13: NWFP Governor Ali Mohammad Jan Aurakzai has said that the secret of success in the competitive world lies in generating, acquiring, accumulating, sharing and using knowledge for progress and development.

Speaking at the Second International Conference on Emerging Technologies here on Monday, he said the ideas of money and commodity economy had been superseded by that of knowledge economy.

About 300 delegates, 80 of them from abroad, are participating in the conference being held by the NWFP University of Engineering and Technology in collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.

Vice-Chancellor of the university Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gilani said a sea change could be witnessed in the field of higher education at the national level.
