S. Korea to help in rail projects


SEOUL, Nov 11: South Korea will cooperate with Pakistan in the completion of major projects by the Pakistan Railways, like the laying of high speed track and introducing metro train service in eight major cities.

The cooperation was discussed here on Saturday between Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and Korean Minister for Construction and Transport Chaoo Byung Jik.

Mr Ahmed said that South Korea had assured them of extending cooperation in the laying of high speed track and launching metro train service in eight major cities, including Rawalpindi, Karachi and Lahore.—APP
