Tubrez Asif promoted to AVM

ISLAMABAD, Nov 11: The government has promoted Air Commodore Tubrez Asif to the rank of Air Vice Marshal (AVM), says a statement issued here on Saturday.

AVM Asif was commissioned in Pakistan Air Force on March 17, 1978 in the Flying Branch. During his career, he has held important command, staff and instructional assignments which include Officer Commanding Flying Instructors’ School, directing staff at Pakistan Navy War College and PAF Air War College, and Chief Instructor Staff Wing at PAF Air War College.

He has been the president of Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) and has also commanded a PAF air base. He has served with Qatar Air Force on deputation.

AVM Asif holds a master’s degree in defence and strategic studies. He is a recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military).
