PESHAWAR: Proper use of machinery to be ensured, says CM
PESHAWAR, Nov 11: Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani has indicated that a decision is due for the proper use of government-owned machinery of the Abasin Constructions Corporation (ACC).
He was presiding over a meeting of the ACC here on Saturday. Chief Secretary Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi, Additional Chief Secretary Ghulam Dastagir, Secretary Works and Services Riaz Khan and others also attended the meeting.
The meeting was briefed on the past and present positions of the government-owned machinery and presently in the possession of the ACC.
The chief minister underlined the need for efficient use of the machinery and asked the officials concerned to fix responsibilities for failure in implementation of the decision.
He said that lack of cooperation led to inefficiency and total breakdown of institutions.
He asked the finance department to report the last two years’ expenditures and earnings from the government-owned machinery when it was in the possession of the Works and Services Department.
Simultaneously, the Abasin Constructions Corporation should also submit similar details and also a report on serviceable and unserviceable machinery so that they could be made functional.
