KARACHI, Nov 11: Nine vessels carrying rapeseed, containers, including passenger ship Dream are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Mega-2, Wan Hai-315, to unload and load containers, San Jiang Kou to unload and load general cargo, Lion Princess, to load rice and Miami to offload steel were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships, which departed included Mega-2, Calvin P.Titus, Makran, and Hanjin Brisbane, while Kota Perkasa, Global Union, Le Suriutm Hai Huang Xing, Aizu, Wan Ha 315, Alberta and Oel Aishwarya, are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.126m tons comprising 37,812 tons of export cargo, including 1,668 tons of rice and 87,685 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Shalamar, Swat, with crude oil, Bulduri, to load 9,000 tons of molasses, Kota Merdesa, Dong He, Wadi al-Rayan and Jade –C, with containers, Trans Atlantic, with 39,000 tons of rapeseed, and Dream, with passengers.

The following ships are due on Monday: Sky Star, with lube oil, C. Fridend, with 39,588 tons of DAP fertiliser and Induruwa Valley, with 2,500 tons of soyabean meal.
