KARACHI: Annual day held at DHA School

KARACHI, Nov 10: The annual day of the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Junior Model School Seaview was held at the Seaview Township here on Friday. Speaking as chief guest on the occasion, DHA Administrator Brigadier Kamran Aziz Qazi said that sound primary education was of immense importance as it laid the foundation for success and progress in life. He stressed the need for proper grooming and training of children at the foundation stage of their lives.

He said the impressions formed on the minds of students during the formative years of primary education were everlasting and played a key role in shaping their responsibility, outlook and psyche in future life.

“Any education system will only be meaningful and effective, if the trio of students, teachers and parents worked in complete unison and harmony with sincerity of purpose,” he added.

The administrator appreciated the talent and confidence displayed by the children in the variety programme and added that he would vividly see the reflection of a bright future of the nation in their performance.

The principal, Rukshanda Jabeen, in her welcome address reiterated that school provided enabling and stimulating learning environments to students to cater their intellectuals, psychological and emotional needs, so essential for their mental and physical growth. Earlier, the students presented tableaus, songs and musical rhymes.

At the end, the chief guest distributed shields and prizes among the students, who excelled in academics and other co-curricular activities. He also announced an award of Rs25,000 for the school.A large number of parents, eminent citizens and DHA officials attended the function.—PPI
