KARACHI: World space week

KARACHI, Nov 9: The World Space Week 2006 is being observed from Nov 6 to 12 under the auspices of the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO).

An announcement here said that the theme of the event is `Space for saving life.’

In connection with the World Space Week, a quiz competition was held at the SUPARCO Headquarters here.More than 100 students representing various government as well as private schools of Karachi participated in the competition.

The teams of the Army Public School, Bahria Foundation College/School and Happy Home School qualified for the final quiz competition which will be held at the PAF Museum on Nov 12.—APP
