KARACHI, Nov 9: Amir of Jamaat-i-Islami, Sindh, has announced names of the new office-bearers of the provincial chapter as finalised in consultation with the provincial Shura of the party.
Dr Mumtaz Memon, Niamatullah Khan, Mumtaz Sahito, Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui and Abdul Ghaffar Umar have been named as vice presidents and Rashid Naseem as general secretary. Names of other office-bearers would be announced later, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, he expressed concern over growing lawlessness in the province, especially Karachi, and demanded removal of the governor and adviser on home, claiming that they had failed in improving the law and order in the province.
