Woman charged with possessing ‘terrorist’ papers


LONDON, Nov 9: A 22-year old woman was charged on Thursday under British anti-terrorist legislation for compiling on her computer data, including handbooks on weapons and poisons, that could help perpetrate a “terrorist” act, Scotland Yard said.

Unemployed Samina Malik, from Southall in west London, is accused of possessing documents including “The Al-Qaeda Manual”, “The Terrorist's Handbook” and “The Mujahideen Poisons Handbook.”She also faces charges of possessing a manual on sniper's rifles, a guide to firearms and rocket-launchers and a document entitled “How to Win Hand to Hand Fighting”.

She is due to appear in court in central London on Friday.
