DADU, Nov 8: Former chairman of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, Bashir Khan Qureshi, has said that Sindhis are passing through a difficult time because the establishment has occupied resources of Sindh.

He said that to convert Sindhis into a minority, two islands of the province were sold out to a foreign company for settling illegal immigrants.

He was speaking on the seventh death anniversary of JSQM leader Rasheed Ahmed Buriro in Mehar on Tuesday night.

He said that poverty in Sindh could be alleviated by handing over resources of the province to the Sindhi people along with the right of ownership. He said that he had resigned from chairmanship JSQM and had presented himself before party workers and Sindhi people for accountability.

He said that a thorough probe should be carried out against him for the charges levelled by Abdul Wahid Arisar and, if he was found guilty, he should be punished. He said that law and order situation in Sindh had deteriorated and people were committing suicides due to poverty.

JSQM leader Shafi Karnani, Kehar Ansari, Abdul Sattar Kalhoro and Hafeez Sindhi also spoke on the occasion.
