LAHORE, Nov 8: Two labourers were injured when a temporary tower of a cell phone company collapsed at the venue of a tableeghi congregation in Raiwind on Wednesday.

Reports said Abdul Razzaq (21) and Qasim (22) were working on the temporary tower being set up for the convenience of congregation participants, when it caved in, causing injuries to the labourers.

Razzaq’s legs were broken while Qasim received minor injuries. They were rushed to Jinnah Hospital where their condition was stated to be stable.

DCO Mian Ejaz has sought an explanation from the company’s regional manager about the sudden collapse and reason behind the mishap. —Reporter
