Another ‘dengue’patient at BVH

BAHAWALPUR, Nov 8: Yet another dengue fever suspect has been admitted to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital on Tuesday night.

It is learnt that Ms Ata Elahi of Mauza Jahanpur, Vehari, was brought to the hospital with high fever.

According to her husband Allah Bakhsh, she accompanied him from Karachi to celebrate Eid in his native village. Since then, Ata Elahi was suffering from fever and also had fits.

The doctors attending her said she had the symptoms of dengue virus and the samples of her blood were sent for laboratory tests in Lahore.

Earlier, five people with suspected virus were treated in the hospital and discharged after recovery.

Meanwhile, the TMA has launched a fumigation campaign in different parts of the city to eliminate mosquitoes from the breeding places.

UPLIFT: District Nazim Tariq Cheema has said Rs2 billion will be utilised within a year on various uplift projects in the city.

Speaking at a meeting at the city union council No 2 here on Wednesday, he expressed the hope that during his tenure the city would be converted into a clean and green area.
