KARACHI, Nov 8: The University of Karachi on Wednesday announced results of BA Part-I (Regular, External and BOL) and Part-II Supplementary Examination 2005. According to result statistics of BA Part-I exams, as many as 506 students appeared in the exams as regular candidates, out of which 233 passed it. The pass percentage remained 46.5. Out of 374 external candidates appeared in the exams, 187 were declared pass. The pass percentage remained 47.73.
The result of students with seat numbers 31270, 31273, 31281, 31283 and 31630 were withheld due to incomplete enrolment while result of seat numbers 40131, 40147, 40667, 40671, 40841 and 40847 for using unfair means.
In BA Part-II exams, a total of 2038 students appeared of which 19 were passed in first division, 512 in second division and 342 in third division. The pass percentage remained 46.46.
The result of students bearing seat numbers; 32346, 32350, 32810, 33314, 33316, 33364, 33365, 33366, 33367, 33368, 33369, 33370, 33377, 33378, 33379, 33380, 33381, 33382, 33383, 33384, 33385, 33386, 33390, 33391, 33392, 33393, 33394, 33395, 33396, 33397, 33398, 33399, 33400, 33401, 33402, 33403, 33404, 33406, 33408, 33641 and 33642 were withheld for incomplete enrolment. The result of numbers 33292, 33324, 33627, 41012, 41015, 41103, 41133, 42011, 42013, 42058, 42112 and 42114 were withheld for using unfair means.
Meanwhile, the university announced submission schedule of forms and fee for BA, BSc (Pass) and BCom (Regular) for those appearing in supplementary exam 2005 from Nov 10 to Nov 18.
According to a KU notification, the fee for BCom (Regular) and BSc (Pass) Part-I and II Rs850, BCom (Regular) and BSc (Pass) Both Parts Rs1475, BA (Pass) (Regular) Part-I and II Rs800 and for BA (Pass) (Regular) Both Parts Rs1400 could be submitted in addition to Rs25 as sports fee.—PPI
