KARACHI, Nov 8: Four ships carrying palm oil and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, APL Jabel Ali, Iran Hesabi to unload and load containers, MRC Sedef, oil tanker and Star Eagle to offload and load general cargo were berthed after the departure of as many.

The ships, which departed were led by Thor Champion, Bow Wallaby, Beluga Expectations and Dream, while Star Eagle, MRC Sedef, Warbah, Hyundai Sprinter, D. D. Vigor and Frontier Angel are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves showed a considerable improvement as the total tonnage rose to 85,773 tons comprising 7,431 tons of export cargo and 78,342 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Pacific Jade, with 7,800 tons of palm oil, Kota Mesra, Kota Perkasa and Oel Aishwarya, with containers.

The following vessels are due on Friday: Al-Marwah, with chemicals, Maersk Arkansas, with containers, Global Provider, with vehicles, San Jiang Kou, with general cargo and Miani, with steel.
