Labourer killed as trolley overturns

LAHORE, Nov 7: A labourer died while another injured when a tractor-trolley overturned in Garden Town area here on Tuesday.

Police said labourers Shafiq, 16, and Farzand were sitting on a tractor-trolley carrying bricks when one of its tyres burst near the Barkat Market. As a result, the vehicle overturned and the two labourers got buried under the bricks. Shafiq died on the spot, while Farzand received injuries.

DIES: A middle-aged man died when he slipped from the roof of an under-construction house in Misrishah area.

Police said Shaukat, 50, father of three, fell from the roof when he was supervising construction work there.

He was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

BODY FOUND: A man, who was taken to a hospital in coma by unidentified passersby three days back, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.

Police said Jan, 30, seemed to be an addict who was found lying unconscious near Machis Factory.
