Five killed in Peshawar

PESHAWAR, Nov 7: At least five people were shot dead in the provincial capital on Monday. A taxi driver, Kiramat Shah, son of Ghulam Mohammad, was gunned down by bandits at Phandu Chowk. Relatives of the victim and people of Phandu village staged a demonstration and blocked the Inqilab Road in protest.

The protesters chanted slogans against police for their failure to check robberies and car theft.

Maroof Shah, son of Bahadar Shah, of Mahallah Hasanzai, killed his brother Mehrab Gul over a land dispute.

Azhar, son of Ashraf Khan, of Sulaiman Khel, was killed by his rivals over a land dispute. Badhber police registered an FIR against Sharif, Libas and Amjad.

Bahadar Sher of Maira Suraizai village was gunned down by his rivals over a land dispute.
