Wapda pull off narrow win

LAHORE, Nov 6: Wapda survived some scare moments before completing a two-wicket win over Sui Gas in the Patron's Trophy Grade-I match at Sheikhupura Stadium on Monday.

Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq, who resumed at 6 along with Bilal Khilji (34), kept his cool as Wapda achieved a paltry of 98 after starting the day at 81 for seven.

Inzamam finished unbeaten on a 54-ball 18. The only casualty was Bilal who was out after adding 4 to his overnight score.

Left-arm medium-pacer Samiullah Niazi celebrated his inclusion in the Pakistan for the Test series against West Indies by finishing with a match-haul of 10 for 78.
