ISLAMABAD, Nov 6: Pakistan and India shared the honours by winning one singles match each at the Islamabad Club on Monday. Aisam-ul-Haq of Pakistan beat his Indian rival Rohan Bopanna 6-3, 6-7 (5), 7-5 in two hours and five minutes to win the first singles match of the four-tie Pakistan-India home-and-away tennis series.
In the second singles encounter, Karan Rastgori levelled the series for India by defeating Aqeel Khan 6-0, 6-4 in one hour and 30 minutes.
The two teams will now play the deciding doubles match on Tuesday before travelling to Lahore for the second tie on Wednesday and Thursday.
The teams will then cross to India to play matches at Chandigarh and Gurgaon.—APP
