LAHORE, Nov 6: Robbers shot at and injured a man on resistance and struck several times in the city on Monday. Two robbers intercepted Anwarul Haq at Tajpura and asked him to hand over cash and cell phone at gunpoint. They injured him when he refused to oblige them and escaped with Rs6,000 in cash and a cell phone.

Two gun-totting people stormed into Ashraf’s house at 68-F Maratib Ali Road, held his wife on gunpoint and took away cash and other valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.

Two robbers barged into Ghulam Nabi’s workshop in Green Town and escaped with Rs85,000 in cash and a cell phone.

Two robbers intercepted Waris and his wife at Ghosia Colony in Kot Lakhpat and snatched jewellery worth Rs300,000 and a cell phone.

Four people were deprived of cash, cell phones and jewellery in the Gulshan-i-Ravi area.

Robbers came to Ali General Store in Ichhra and took away Rs50,000 in cash and a cell phone at gunpoint while a man was deprived of Rs10,000 in cash and a cell phone in the Kot Lakhpat area.

Two armed people snatched Rs32,000 in cash and a cell phone from Qaiser in P block of Johar Town while as many robbers took away Rs50,000 in cash and a cell phone from a passer-by in the Qila Gujjar Singh area.

Cars were driven away from Nishtar Colony, Gulshan-i-Ravi, Baghbanpura and Wahdat Colony while motorcycles were snatched from South Cantonment, Garden Town and Gulshan-i-Ravi areas.
