KARACHI, Nov 6: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has called for setting up camp offices of all the departments providing facilities, including project director by December 2006 for revival of Scheme-33 (Gulzar-i-Hijri) and early start of housing activities.

Presiding over a meeting, the governor took strict notice of non-opening of offices of the project director in the scheme, so far.

He also directed the cooperative housing societies to essentially start their activities as well.

When government will handover physical possession of unoccupied land to societies, it will be their responsibility to maintain their possession and start construction activities.

The governor directed establishment of police pickets and camp offices of water, electricity, gas and other concerned departments essentially by December.

He asked the authorities to ensure that genuine allottees get possession of their land.

He called for carrying out physical survey of the entire scheme and providing allotted land to societies as per actual measurement.—APP
