PESHAWAR, Nov 5: The Sarhad Micro-Finance Network (SMFN), which has taken the challenge of promoting micro-finance, is holding an international workshop on Monday at the Institute of Management Sciences, Hayatabad.

According to a press release, the objective of the workshop is to review best international practices that are effective in promoting micro-finance services and to identify measures that are essential for scaling up microfinance services in the province.

The workshop will be inaugurated by former federal secretary and a renowned banker, Bashir Ahmad.

SMFN is a provincial network of institutions which are engaged in retail microfinance and committed to improve outreach of the services in NWFP on sustainable basis.—APP
