By Our Correspondent

NAWABSHAH, Nov 5: A complete strike was observed in Sakrand town on Sunday in protest against the killing of a young man, who owned a hotel.

Reports reaching here said that a man injured Ali Shan Rajput when he was going to home from his hotel on the Station Road.

He later died in the People’s Medical College hospital.

The incident greatly angered the people.

They blocked the National Highway and suspended traffic in protest against the killing.

They ended the blockade after the SHO of Sakrand persuaded them that the killer would be arrested soon.

Traders and shopkeepers kept all bazaars and markets closed to protest against the killing.

The call for strike was given by the Shehri Ittehad.

The protesters demanded that police should arrest the killer at the earliest.

The Sakrand police lodged an FIR against Roshan Rind alias Zulfiqar Bhutto but made no arrest so far.

INJURED: Six people were injured after a passenger van collided with a motorcycle near the Quaid-i-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology on Sunday.

The injured--Shahid Siyal, Saddam Hussain, Yar Mohammad, Gul Mohammad, Dadan and Raheem-- were admitted to the PMC hospital.

DIED: A police constable died after suffering fatal injuries when his motorcycle slipped on an overhead bridge in Nawabshah on Saturday night.

He was taken to the PMC hospital in critical condition and died before getting any treatment.
