PESHAWAR, Nov 5: Officials of the Pakistan Television Corporation have asked producers and technical staff to make use of the available equipment and facilities to produce quality programmes and stop telecasting private productions on the national hookup.
“It is important to utilise the latest equipment and resources with professionalism to prepare high-quality programmes,” said PTV Peshawar centre’s acting general manager Shaukat Ali after the press show of Urdu drama serial Chingarian on Sunday.
He urged producers, writers, artistes and support staff to coordinate their efforts to overcome shortcomings in all areas of production.
Mr Ali said that they were striving hard to confront challenges posed by mushrooming satellite channels. He urged people associated with production to pinpoint weaknesses and said that problems would be resolved on a priority basis. He said that drastic changes were being made to improve the standard of regional programmes.
Earlier, Aziz Ejaz, director of the 13-episode serial, to be telecast from Monday (Nov 6), said that due to good shooting sites and strong storyline, the serial would be well-received.
