Five MUET students arrested

HYDERABAD, Nov 4: The Jamshoro police on Saturday arrested five students of the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology for manhandling and keeping another student in wrongful confinement in the hostel.

Reports said that Waqas, a student of the first year computer science, had an argument with the students who were driving a car near the AC-II block on the campus.

The side of the car had touched Waqas which led to an argument and the students took him to the university's hostel.

They kept him in wrongful confinement for more than one hour.

The message was aired to police about kidnapping of Waqas, a resident of Latifabad.

Police started snap checking and the car was intercepted in the Bhittai Nagar police area.

The students were arrested by police.

They were identified as Zeeshan Memon, a student of the first year in mining faculty, Aftab Memon, Jameel, Zain (all students of the first year in computer science) and Sohail Arain, a final year student of mechanical engineering.
