Woman killed

KHAIRPUR, Nov 4: A woman was killed over some domestic dispute in the Phundani Solangi village in Kingri taluka on Friday evening. Ms Tahira, wife of Asad, was injured when she was fired at.

She died on her way to hospital. The body was handed over to her relatives after post-mortem.

The father of the woman, Wazir Ahmed Solangi, lodged an FIR with the Ahmedpur police against four persons, Wafad Ali Solangi, Nazakat, Saeed Ahmed and Sibghatullah, alleging therein that accused Wafad Ali opened fire in the house after exchange of some hot words over some domestic issues. No arrest was made till the filing of the report.

CASE REGISTERED: The Ranipur police on Friday night registered a case against Pir Mahsooq Shah Jilani under section 13-D of the Arms Ordinance, alleging that a rifle and some bullets were recovered from his bungalow in Ranipur.

Mashooq Shah Jilani told newsmen on Saturday that he was a former nazim the Mehar Veesar union council and had joined the Pakistan People’s Party hence police started political victimisation against him.
