Life-term for kidnappers
SARGODHA, Nov 4: A local Anti-Terrorism Court handed down life imprisonment on two counts to five convicts in a kidnap for ransom case on Saturday. The judge also ordered confiscation of their property.
According to the prosecution, five convicts — Azam Kurrar, Nawaz, Tariq, Muhammad Khan and Jaffar Hussain had looted cash and ornaments from the house of factory owner Muhammad Younas in Khizarabad on Feb 26, 2004.
The convicts had also kidnapped his son Muhammad Tariq and released him after receiving Rs2.5 million ransom amount.
