PESHAWAR, Nov 4: Grant of contract to consultants for selection of roads — 700 kilometres long rural access roads and 142-kilometre-long highways — was approved at a meeting held here on Saturday with Chief Minister Akram Durrani in the chair. The chief minister said that paperwork and progress on the site should be accelerated. He called for an even-handed treatment of all the districts in executing the projects.

He said equal mileage of roads should be constructed in all the districts. He said tenders process should be completed within a month and road projects should be selected in consultation with the MPAs concerned.—PPI
