KARACHI, Nov 4: Seven ships carrying palm oil, containers and to load ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Bunga Delima, Orient Independence, Mega-2 to unload and load containers and D.D. Vigour to offload fertiliser were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships, which departed included Eric G. Gibson, Calmy Coral and Johar, while Maersk Arkansas, Mega-2, Wan Hai-301 and Orient Independence are due to sail out on Sunday.

A total tonnage of 68,050 tons comprising 23,086 tons of export cargo including 1,721 tons of rice and 44,964 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Sedef, to load ethanol, Lucky-7 with 7,300 tons of palm oil, Warbah, with high speed diesel, Amasis, Ever Govern, with containers, Frontier Angel, with 43,500 tons of coal and Hanjin Brisbane, with 25,805 tons of steel scrap.

The following vessels are due on Monday: Global Union, with chemicals, Beluga Expectation, Star Eagle, with steel, Myong San to load 5,000 tons of clinker and Liberty Eagle, to offload 25,000 tons of wheat.
