Support for Kashmir struggle

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 31: Pakistanis living in Kuwait have demanded an immediate end to the Indian occupation of Kashmir and called on the Indian government to respect United Nations resolutions by giving Kashmiris their right of self-determination.

A gathering organised by the Pakistan embassy to express solidarity with Kashmiri brethrens to mark the anniversary of the Indian occupation of Kashmir on 27th October, 1947.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Muhammad Aslam highlighted the history of Kashmir and demanded a just solution of the dispute which was acceptable to all parties concerned.

He said despite the United Nations resolutions, India had taken no action to settle the dispute, adding that the time had come for the Indian government to grant Kashmiris their right of self-determination.
